Who should take this course?
The Scuba Diver Course is designed as an intermediate step to the PADI Open Water Course. If you are short on time and cannot complete the Open Water Course, you can still get your PADI Scuba Diver rating. It allows you to join in activities to a maximum depth of 12metres/40 feet, under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.
What will you learn?
During your course, you will:
Learn and master buoyancy skills, correct breathing techniques and buddy contact
Practice comfortable ascents and descents along with streamlining yourself underwater
Learn about the underwater environment and aquatic life, Project AWAREand further education
What scuba gear will you use?
Full basic scuba diving equipment
Exposure suit and a weight belt

What learning material do you require
Options here are available, depending if you wish to study at home, or with a PADI Instructor in the classroom.
Studying with the PADI Open Water Diver manual and watching the Open Water DVD, in our classroom along with your PADI Instructor.

Participant must be 15 years, or older (12-14 years old for Junior Scuba Diver)
PADI e- learning must be purchased and completed prior to your in-water experience
Participants under 18 years of age require parent or guardian consent
Complete a medical questionnaire declaring you are in good physical health
Ability to swim and feel comfortable in water
No prior scuba experience is necessary
Two to three days
Three knowledge development sessions
Three confined water sessions
Two open water dives
PADI Scuba Diver Upgrade to PADI Open Water Diver
If you already have the PADI Scuba Diver certification and wish to upgrade to the PADI Open Water level, this can be done by completing the following:
Two knowledge development sessions in the classroom including final exam
Two confined water sessions in shallow water
Two open water sessions, no deeper than 18metres/60 feet
We will make an in-water assessment of your skills during the first confined water session.
PADI Junior Scuba divers (10-11 year olds) upgrading to PADI Open Water Diver have a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet
Participants under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian consent
Complete a diver medical statement, declaring you are in good physical health
