After serving many years of towing ships around Malta’s Grand Harbour, the St. Michael, a ‘Tanac’ type and Number 10, a ‘Melita’ type was scuttled together.

Location: Zonqor Point (Malta)
Dive Type: Shore Dive
Depth: 18-20 Metres

Both tugs were built in 1944 and were laid up at Jetties Wharf and purposely scuttled at their moorings, in 1998. The St Michael was built in Canada and is 20m long, while the Number Ten is of unknown origin and is slightly shorter at 16m. The tug boats are laid apart on a sandy bottom, joined together by a rope which enables divers to find them both.
