Who should take this course?
Don’t leave it to luck, brush up on observation skills and the ability to use a compass. The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes both natural, and compass navigation skills underwater, as well as using surface references. The course is challenging and fun, learning how to find your destination using natural objects, compass readings and distance measurement.
What will you learn?
During this course, you will learn and practice;
How to make underwater maps
Estimating underwater distances by using a variety of methods
How to navigate with a compass while making at least five turns
How to navigate by using natural objects and bottom topography
Marking a position at the surface, relocate a small and larger submerged object
What scuba gear you will use?
Basic scuba diving equipment
Slate and pencil
Computer or underwater timing device
What learning material do you require?
The PADI Underwater Navigator Manual
Participants must be10 years of age, or older
Minimum PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent from another training agency
Participants under the age of 18 years must have parent or guardian consent
Complete a diver medical questionnaire declaring you are in good physical health
